Merry Christmas from Caister Parish Council

Friday afternoon saw the first ever Merry Mistletoe Mini Market alongside the traditional Light Up Caister event.

Hundreds of residents came along to support local businesses in the market, local performers and our local high street businesses who opened their doors for some late night shopping!

Norfolk County Council provided a fabulous selfie board which went down a treat too! #HighStreetsMatter.

The Parish Council extends it’s thanks to all the volunteers that helped bring the day to life plus all of the local businesses and performers who supported the event.

Thank you to Batchelor Electrical Services for installing the lights not just at the Council Hall but also adding the iconic star on top of the church and Rob Batchelor himself for comparing our stage.

To Cllr Danny Godbolt for being the sound engineer supreme, to Matthews Transport for the loan of the ‘stage’ to protect our performers from the elements, to Tarmac for loans of signage and cones and to Great Yarmouth Borough Council for the loan of barriers. Norfolk Broads Lions brought Santa to the party again – thank you!

An extra special thank you to AJ Trade Plastics who sponsored the event and supported Santa in offering a free gift to all the children who visited him on his sleigh.
