Schedule of Works April 2025 – Easter 2027
Click here for a schedule of planned works. Please note that this is a live document and will be updated as regularly as possible.
Monday 28th April – Wednesday 7th May – Norwich Road, Caister.
Persimmon are now preparing to carry out the next phase of works which are for the completion of drainage work and connections following the previous works carried out, but this will not require a full road closure. Access to the road will be maintained throughout, although some temporary traffic management may be in place to ensure the safety of both the public and the workforce.
The work is scheduled between Monday 28th April – Wednesday 7th May on Norwich Road, Caister. We would like to emphasise that works will be carried out on weekdays only, for a total of seven working days. Roadworks will be carried out overnight between the hours of 19:00-06:00 when the road is quietest. Traffic signals will form a four-way traffic control system overnight. During the day (06:00-19:00) the road will be open as normal.
Every effort will be made to keep noise and disruption to a minimum, however due to the nature of what is proposed, some noise will be unavoidable. Due to rules set out by Norfolk County Council, we are required to complete these works overnight to ensure the road is open during the day, avoiding traffic build up and congestion. We understand the disruption that road works can cause and are committed to minimising inconvenience wherever possible.
